My origin story
ABOUT Me
So candid. so natural
It all started on my 10th birthday with my Grandad's old film camera. Out of that first roll, maybe three photos were actually in focus, but that was enough to get me hooked on capturing nature in all its forms. Macro, landscapes, and of course people.
I didn't actually shoot my first wedding 'til 8 years ago, when a friend asked me to shoot hers as a favour. I begrudgingly said yes, not thinking it would be my thing. As a guest at a wedding, your only real experience of the photographer is during the formal shots, which I hated (and still do tbf).
But I fuckin loved it.
I got to take everything I loved about shooting nature, the unposed, authentic, raw moments, and capture it forever. There's something so cool about that to me.
I didn't take it seriously though until my little one was born and I realised I had to do something I loved for work, because that's what I'd want for him. It's gone insanely well since. I consider this my life's work now, and every gallery is part of my legacy.
"Photography clearly isn't just a job to him... The photos are truly beautiful and original. he always made us feel at ease and it never felt like we were 'being photographed' — we just had fun"
